    770 Hydraulic Reservoir Leaking

I hate to give up on it. When I had it out to replace the pump that I got from you last summer, it looked really good. Other than that one hole that I fixed, everything seemed kosher. It seems like it needs one of those inserts with o-rings to keep the fluid going to the filter from trying...

    770 Hydraulic Reservoir Leaking

I am thinking about trying this. The new gaskets are pretty thin, maybe just too thin...

    770 Hydraulic Reservoir Leaking

It is the length the book calls for and had plenty of free travel, so I don't think it's bottoming out.

    770 Hydraulic Reservoir Leaking

Seems to be. I boiled fluid out of it not too long ago (my fault) and I keep it clean.

    770 Hydraulic Reservoir Leaking

I have a lot of trouble on my 770 blowing out the gasket between the reservoir and the base at the bolt under the filter. I've had it leak through where the bolt head contacts the reservoir and blow the gasket out in the same place. This is close to the port that sends fluid to the filter, at...

    550 Power Steering overflowing

Ive put the Lucas additive in and tried to use it a couple times and its maybe worse than it was. Its getting to the point it can hardly be used. Is there a check valve or something that controls the flow of fluid back to the reservoir? It sure seems like the flow back is so excessive that it...

    550 Power Steering overflowing

Well, I guess it could be. It sounds a little similar but mine does it when running and is far worse when its cold. Guess that could lead to a check valve?

    550 Power Steering overflowing

I have never seen this brought up, but maybe I've missed it. I have a '69 550 with power steering. Not the generator/pump setup, but the later separate pump. When it's cold, it will push fluid out of the dipstick/breather cap all over the hood. Anyone ever deal with this and have a solution...

    2-70 clutch

I bought the whole kit from HyCapacity for the 1755. It had the pilot and throw out bearing included. It did not look different than the one that came out of it with the standard clutch cover.

    2-70 clutch

I dont have an answer to your problem, but I installed a diaphragm clutch in a 1755 a year ago and it has never been right. Had the flywheel ground, correct measurements, checked when I got it back and all good. The clutch was installed correctly per the instructions and when it was back in...

    Identifying Oliver 1650 Ignition System

If you buy the pertronix flamethrower coil, you will not need the resistor. I have a pertronix in a mallory in my 1650 with their coil and no external resistor. Works just fine.

    Oliver 66 alternator

Get a mini denso alternator, put 4 on in the last year and I wouldn't mess with a generator again over one of those. You can get them real cheap and they fit nicely where the generator went.

    Oliver 1655 PTO Help

First, is it leaking around the spanner nut or inside where the shaft goes? I have a '64 1650 and it had neither the seal nor the cap on it original. I put the cap on first, still leaked, then installed the seal and got it sealed up. It just depends on where your leak is. I learned on the...

    4340 Plow Adjustments

On Friday, I made some adjustments: 1. I turned the furrow wheel dish back "in", in that it would be closer to the furrow wall now. 2. I turned the tail wheel dish "out", moving it from the furrow wall. 3. I sat the plow down on concrete and adjusted the tail wheel bolt to put decent...
