    They are some of the better tractors for longevity. Excellent on square balers. One of the weak spots is they can be known to jump out of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. Have to be split to be fixed and not very costly, but just make sure to check for that. We have quite a few around here with 9 to 10k...

    Im not a mechanic but i wonder if the pump itself gets extremely hot when tractor operating. I once was told something about the pump rotatitng group could be bad, so i just replaced my pump with a reman from ag parts first (330 2649720)and never had anymore problems and for the money that was...

    white 140

    You"ll love the cab, ride, shifting, and all those features, but you"ll find that the 2-135 makes better horsepower than a 140 although the cummins is a better motor. If you want to really notice a power difference, then you should consider a 160 or 170.

    I HAVE ONE IN MY 1955. MOTOR CAME FROM 145 WHITE. USE THE TRACTOR PRETTY GOOD WITH NO PROBLEMS. VERY NICE COMBINAION.

    Recommend an Oliver

    Personally, I would reccomend the 1950T. Find one with 18.4x38's and you can do either job. They tend to have an extra oil filter and hydraulics seem to give less problems. Also very efficient to run and makes great horepower. I also would not hesitate on a good white 2-105 or 2-135.

    1550...do they have a high speed rear end option?

    Not sure how rare they are, but they certainly can get down the road in 5th or 6th gear. I think alot of them came with a small 16.9x28 rear tire

    I have a 2-180 that has not run in a couple years with the fuel being empty. How hard will it be getting her cranked? Anything special I should do?
