    51 CA hydraulic control issues

Hey just an update you may be able to help with. I spoke with Scott at Sandy Lake. You were right about him rebuilding it. So, I took it off and found a wad of material in the port that the fluid goes into. Probably from when I worked on the out drive. Looks like some gasket material. So, I...

    51 CA hydraulic control issues

Thank You for your responce. I had some leaks in the rams and would always make sure the level was topped off before I used it. Now running around I noticed the trans level is at top. I lift up the bar to make sure the rams are extended but that has no change in the fluid level. Where is Sandy...

    51 CA hydraulic control issues

51 CA needs the hydraulic pump and control. It started out raising slow and intermittent. Then quit for good. Took the lines off and no fluid coming out. Was a draw bar type but I locked it out at the control arm as you do when you don't want to use the drawbar. Is there a way to bleed out the...

How do you get the pulley off a B?

Soak in PB for a couple days then wedge crowbar between pully and final drive housing.

    CA Slipping

Thanks. Could very well be. There is enuff clutch to turn the PTO but maybe not enuff to turn the wells. Double work for me like you. Just too much in a hurry. Hand clutch looks good. At least I can repair the acuator and put new brakes on. Not too bad of a waste of time there. Thanks again for...

    CA Slipping

Thanks Dick. I never let it go long enuff to do that. When it got to the point where the tractor would not move at all I quit trying. Thanks for the help. I am going to pull that axle clutch assy out and see what it says. My main concern was where to go. Not the diff, thank goodness. It is one...

    CA Slipping

That would sure save me a headache. Easier for me to remove final drives than separate the motor again. The power take off works fine. Lifts the road blade up and down. All seems to be ok there. No noises. Would I smell anything from the axle clutch getting hot? I have not pulled the clutch...

    CA Slipping

Thanks for the reality check. I think your right. I threw a new disc on but made no adjustment to the release levers. That could be it. Thanks. What would happen if the disc was installed backwards? Thanks again for first things first.

    CA Slipping

Put an engine and new clutch on. Rear wheels started slipping untill, with little resitance they wont turn. Acts like a slipping clutch. Pulled the rt final drive and checked the hand clutch. All seems to be ok. What"s in the differential. Can something come loose. All I see in my service manual...

    CA-B flywheel and ring gear

Can I swap these flywheels and not get into trouble. Both have 90T. The one on the right comes off a CA that is locked up. The one on the left is from a B that I am going to use. The B had a dry wick, bushing looks worn, and some teeth are mared. The CA weighs more but is in good shape.
