Power Steering Pump, Ford 3000 dsl
one other possibility perhaps, what is your professional opinion on this? if my friend replace the pump seals and used motor oil instead of the required, would that in of itself compromise the seals thus causing the continued transfer/leak, furthermore would this require flushing out at the next...- Pat Rick

Thanks for sharing, now let me add to the equation ford suggested a double seal repair kit facing opposite, installed and the issue persists what are some other possible sinarios, too much pressure ? I did not actually do the work so maybe the shaft is the issue or the mounting flange worn, so...- Pat Rick

Power Steering Pump, Ford 3000 dsl
So my pump power steering pump runs itself out of oil look to be going into the crank case, fill it works great for about 2 hrs. can anyone point me to the Ford expert so that I can diagnose and correct this issue. Thanks for the kind consideration.- Pat Rick

was still hoping to get some helpful hints on what to explore next to solve the oil transfer from the power steering reservoir to the crankcase, which takes about 2 hours of using the tractor and it becomes hard steering. new seals didn't work, an after market pump didn't work, any Idea's...- Pat Rick

Need Guidance on the Power Steering Pump on a Ford 3000 diesel tractor, the pump runs out of oil which ends up in the crank case and the question is why, we have changed the seal, we have converted to the two seal approach, we have changed the pump with new, and each time with no improvement...- Pat Rick
