    That's not my picture. That's just the only picture I could find on Google with the same hole. Mine is a 1950 with a mag.

    Smaller 1/2 hole just rear ward of the oil fill cap. On the housing between there and the mag. It isn't threaded. What's it for and should it be plugged?

    Also....my latches seem to be really loose on the lift arms. They are in no way a snug fit over the arms. Normal?

    My old pins seem to measure about .600 give or take. I feel like 1/2 would be pretty loose in the latch. No?

    Messing with a 1940 B. Electric and hand start. Trying to get it running after many years, I was turning it over with the hand crank and the engine makes a loud rachet clank on every half revolution. It does it without the hand crank engaged also. Just using the fan. Any clue what this...
