    15” fenders were optional on 770 and 870, the bigger 970 and up had option of 24” for the wide option. Not many 15” out there.

    We have one 12 volt (as big as will fit) and that newer starter and all I can say is it doesn?t have a choice but to start as fast as it is turning it over. I have gotten frustrated with the 2 sixes because of more cable,more connections, and the sixes don?t seem to last long.

    One thing we have found with the 188 diesel is they have to turn over fairly rapidly in cold weather to start. We have put newer style starters on them off of the newer back/hoes and such, you can buy them off e-bay and such for around $80-$100. They will turn engine over much faster making...

    You are not going to find a new carb. or a used one more than likely. Rebuild the one you have.

    CASE 2290/970 Questions

    With stock rims 6.00X16 or 7.5L X 15 is as big as you can go. Bigger in any way or size will hit on bottom side when turning. I have 9.5LX15 on a 770 but I had to use 70 series wide front hubs and rims with a pretty good offset to make it work, took a lot of trial and error.

    Read all your posts.

    I got all my corn planted between April 20-26 cold rain until mid May, planted 120 acres of beans on May 15 nothing but rain since then. The corn that came up without drowning out looks worse every day , can?t imagine it will amount to much. Depressing to say the least to watch what you have...

    Nice plow Bob , does it have 14? or 16? bottoms. Always was surprised that the A series was the only series that you could get 14? bottoms on a 6 btm.
