    I am having a problem with this also. I unscrewed the foot switch and tried pressing the lever that pushes the rod, but it didn't do anything. It moved, but nothing started or even turn over. Is the real starter button bad? Can I take out the real starter button and push it by hand to see if...

    2N will not start.

    Maybe a stupid question, but are the connections for the wires for the starter button exposed and could you tap the ends with a screwdriver to make a connection and start the tractor? I would have to wait for warmer weather to tear things apart and see what I have.

    I have a 1947 2N that runs great. I hadn't run it for a month or two, and it always started up just fine. I went to start it today and nothing.     I have a Farmall M, runs good, but I was pulling a disc on wheels with a hydrilic cylinder to raise and lower the wheels and where you connect the hoses to the back of the tractor the two plungers or whatever they are called on the hoses that you connect the hoses from the disc are sticking out...
