getting to PTO to work on Grinding problem
2000 Ford 3cyl. gas with 8speed trans. 1967 model. Do I take off trans. cover on top or do I go in from rear of trans.? I want to be able to see the PTO shifter lever inside and see what it's supposed to be doing. All info is appreciated. Thanks. Pembroke -

Well it looks like I'm going to have to purchase a service manual to dig a little deeper into PTO clutch and why grinding and how to fix. Suggestions on what manual to purchase (Title, item #, and where to purchase needed). Thanks for all info. Pembroke -

PTO question
I push the clutch all the way down for PTO and still wants to grind. I can engage the Hi and low shift lever and the trans lever to make the tractor move forward without grinding. I've tried the clutch pedal half way up and all the way down for PTO and still grinds. Where should I start far as... -

engine is 3 cyl. Not sure about Trans. I know it has a Hi And Low shift lever along with gear lever. Tractor is son's and I was working on bush hog for him and had trouble engaging PTO. worked clutch up and down thinking there might be a two stage clutch allowing the PTO to engage without... -

polorizing a Lucas voltage regulator
first, the gen light stayed on so not charging. Checked the Lucas gen and OK. replaced Lucas regulator and put jumper wire on the field on Gen and touched hot batt. side (not Ground side)with other end of jumper and held for about 10 sec. replaced wire to field on gen. Started tractor light... -
