    Hire someone to do the combining! It’s worth the cost. And it will get done right, no matter what the conditions.

    1949 Ford 8N low oil pressure, what is the thickest oil I should be using

    Our Jubilee showed so little pressure it was alarming. We changed the pressure gauge and that solved the problem.

    Block heater

    We have a heater in the lower radiator hose. It works fine to warm the engine, but when it’s 20 below the oil in the pan must be really thick, so we slap the Katz magnetic heater under the oil pan.

    Goat milk is naturally homogenized. If you let it sit, not much cream will rise to the top. Let us know how it works out for you.

    62 year old tractor saves the day

    Few years ago, with 10 inches of snow on our lane, zero degrees, a pickup pulling a trailer decided he had to get up to the cell tower at the end of our lane.     Silo for Saturday

    I thought of silo for Saturday last week while driving in northern Illinois. There was a conventional wood barn, but the tile silo was only half as tall as the barn! The short silo had a cap on it, so it wasn’t as if some had been removed. They must have had just a few cows.
