    TO-35 Electrical System Question

    If your regulator is working you will see the generator output with this test, but if the regulator is not working you may not see a valid result. If you turn the switch to the light position with the engine off, you should see a big drain on the batt. If you do, then your ammeter is working...

    F40 Wiring

    For the light wiring you probably want to use something at least 14 gauge and the rest could be 16 gauge. My F40 looks like it is wired with 20 or 22 gauge and works fine, but it doesn"t look rugged enough for me. The battery and starter cables of course should be large. For 6v tractors...

    To 35 lift

    These characteristics occur because you have a maladjusted hydraulic system. The instructions for correct adj are a little complex and you should invest in an overhaul manual for a TO35 which will cover this. In the meantime I could email you these instructions if you like. Phil(WA)

    Correct Tires for my TO-35

    The delivered tractor unless special order had the equivalent of 12.4x28 tires we have today and the front tires were 6.00x16 according to dealers I know in spite of the manual showing them to be optional. Phil(WA)

    TO TE axle shim adjustment

    The manual says that when the correct adj is made then the opposing wheel will not turn. BUT if you are just starting out to check, the non-rotation could be a sign of TOO much clearance and you should chk to see if the axles are "bumping". This should be done first with the wheels on the ground...

    The Hall tail light is not reproduced anywhere to my knowledge. This was incorporated on the 35 when the change was made to 12v electrical system. Before that the light was from Taurus which has no reproductions either. What you see in Steiner"s and Carpenter"s are reproductions of the DuoLamp...
