I'm going to replace some of the old wiring on my F40 and wanted to be sure I was using the correct gauge. What would be the proper guage wiring for this. I've found several of the wiring diagrams on sites but they never discuss/show the type of wire to use.
Thanks

For the light wiring you probably want to use something at least 14 gauge and the rest could be 16 gauge. My F40 looks like it is wired with 20 or 22 gauge and works fine, but it doesn"t look rugged enough for me. The battery and starter cables of course should be large. For 6v tractors, Ferguson used 02 gauge from the factory and the 12v tractors I am not sure what original was but should be in the 6-8 range I would think, but his a WAG without some investigation.

I have an F40 all wiring has probably been replaced at some time. It all looks to be 12 or 14 guage. My F40 is missing lower grill and I can't find one. Could you help me in any way?
