    8N 1948 Carb problem

    Terry that hole is so that the air cleaner does not fill with gas when the float sticks open or you flood the tractor. It sounds like your float has some crap in it and might be stuck in the open pos. Take the float bowl off and remove the float carefull not to bend the the float in any way and...

    had a Allis B that would do that every time I trailered it fine rust in gas tank would get stured up and git in the carb. Clean carb and check the tank and sed. bowl.

    I have a 52 8n that needs a gas tank the original is full of rust an cant git it clean. Has anyone bought a new gas tank from this site? Just woundering if they are as good as original?

    geny not charging

    Took Geny apart cleaned amr. put together and worked fine. The beter news was the Geny. must have been rebuilt some time in the past new field windings and brushes:) I miss understud the moter test I thought that if the Geny. motered that it would charge. Thanks for the help! PlowBoy80

    brazing with mapp

    Soundguy try using propane and oxagen for your cuting and brazing thats what I use works good just need dif. tip in your cutting head. gages work on both 20# propane or acet.

    I looked at other posts not helping me. 52 8N side mount dis. Ive done the motor test and the geny spins "slow". 3 Wire gen. Replaced V reg. and polarized it still nothing. Checked continuity on all wires to geny. Can any one tell me what I should do next.

    thanks Soundguy I fixed it this afternoon by removing the 1/4 in. plugs and leting it pump through there. It must have been air locked like you said. Thankyou for your help Plow Boy80

    problem fixed! It must have been air locked I took the 1/4 in. plugs out and it started pumping 3 point and contrals seem to be working fine Thanks to every one. Plow Boy80

    Yes the control arm goes in that possion. I adjusted this this morn. the way my I&T manual said.

    Yes they are moving and oil is moving around them.

    pulled all the chamber valves this morn. all free and clean and all the passeges are seem to be open. Still no oil at test port. If it was air locked how would I salve that prob?
