8N gas tank

I have a 52 8n that needs a gas tank the original is full of rust an cant git it clean. Has anyone bought a new gas tank from this site?
Just woundering if they are as good as original?

on't care where you buy it or if you pay its weight in gold, it ain't gonna be as good as the original. Try asking in a different way.

you have a 50+ year old tractor, a new one won't have any rust to worry about. they may be made better than org. doen't matter where you buy it, there are made about the same. there is some past threads about cleaning tanks. if you want to try, check them out.

I have bought two new tanks from this site and have not had any problems with either one of them.

I would get a new one and be done with it. I don't recall seeing any complaints about them not fitting--unlike the aftermarket radiators. A new one should last you a long time even if they aren't as good as the oem tanks. Around my part of Texas none of the local radiator shops will boil out an old tank so it makes it a mute point for me.

Finally, this is one of the few times I will disagree with JMOR because he knows his stuff, and is probably right on the OEM remarks, but I think it is easier to buy the new tank and move on.
