I just installed a Zenith on my 1966 3000 and it runs great. It was a direct replacement. I got it from Farmer equipment. His number is 330-482-4180. He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about these carbs. Hope this helps.It may help to have your serial number handy when you call him. -

3000 clutch problems
The tractor would stay in gear and not stop when the clutch was pressed. I worked with this afternoon and it is working great now. Sorry for not making myself clear.Thanks for the responses. Philip -

3000 clutch problems
First thanks to UltradogMN, Tree man and 3000OH for your help when I posted 3000 Running Rough. A combination of plugs, points and coil fixed the problem. I ran it about 30 minutes before it started raining. Now another problem cropped up. My clutch won’t engage. Whatever gear it is in it stays... -

3000 running rough
Thanks for the help. I’ll try these this week as time permits. As for the electric pump, I hooked it up just to double check my fuel flow. It won’t be installed permanently. I’ll keep you posted on the progress. -

Thanks for the reply. I hooked an electric fuel pump just before the carburetor and still got the same results. Now it is spitting and sputtering almost from the start. I took the #2 plug out and checked for a spark. It was very weak and inconsistent. The distributor was replaced a couple of... -

3000 running rough
I have a 1966 Ford 3000. I am having trouble keeping it running. It starts when cool and will run great for about 2 minutes, then starts to spit and sputter and eventually dies. If I let cool off for a few minutes it will start but runs very rough and dies. I put a new Zenith carburetor but it... -
