    I did the same conversion and it turned out well. The key is making sure the crank and input shaft are aligned when the backplate is redrilled.

    John Deere 5010

    with cab or with out, it,s gotta be pushing 18,000 to 20,000 lbs. our 6030 with cab,3pt PTO, 20.8 38 insides 3/4 full of fluid, duals half full with front tires full too, weights about 22,500 lbs

    yeah the thing is I greased it about 2 day before this all happened. but oh well she never been apart so its about time i guess. thanks for the help

    On our 6030, when the clutch is pushed in and the tractor is revved up alittle bit ( like taking off or trying to get un stuck) a loud grinding or grownling noise comes from the cluthc area. could this be the throw out bearing? the clutch dont slip, and works fine just makes this noise when...
