    Pony starting issue

After completing my restoration and enjoying putting around on my 1952 Pony for a year or so, it has suddenly gone stubborn, and I can't keep it running. I've done a post dated today to my blog at thatidiotictractor.com dated today that contains a video of what happens when I hit the starter...

    Pony hydraulic pump/tank

Folks, I do not use the hydraulics, so just have the pump/tank to hold the fan shaft. Hydraulic lines and cylinder have been removed, with the exception of a short loop of hydraulic hose. I've been getting persistent leakage even though the pump has been rebuilt. I'm thinking of replacing...

    AC-B Curved Tow Bar

Last call. Let me know if you're interested. If no response in 24 hours, I'll just list it on Ebay. Thanks.

    AC-B Curved Tow Bar

Forgive this Massey Harris guy for invading your forum. I bought a nice, used tow bar for a "B" thinking it would fit my Pony and it doesn't. I now have the correct bar, but must unload the incorrect one. If anyone needs one, or knows of someone that does, send me an email outside the forum...

    Pony Draw Bar

Thanks, Minor09. I sent a second reply with a diagram attached. Could you help me out with some of those measurements? Would really appreciate your help.

    Pony Draw Bar

I'm having a draw bar made for my Pony. Based on the brackets, which I have, I know the O/S dimension of the bar at the point of attachment and the positioning and size of those holes. But since the Agco parts book does not provide dimensions, I'd really appreciate some measuring help from...

    Pony

Pony starts fine when cold, but has trouble when I try to restart it when warm. It will catch briefly, but stop. After letting it sit maybe 15 minutes, it will start again. Some who've seen it running say it runs too rich, blackish smoke, I don't know. Any ideas? Bruce ThatIdioticTractor.com

    Pony Pivot Pin

That's interesting, but mine still needs to be replaced due to wear. Since replacements have a cotter at either end, it sounds like a pin with a head could be inserted either way. Would still like to know how the pin was headed as it came from the factory.

    Pony Pivot Pin

I've got to replace my worn pivot pin. It's been so abused it no longer even has its head. The last owner just put a cotter pin at both ends. So, my simple question, does the head go in from the front of the tractor, so the cotter pin is in the back, or vice versa? I was lucky enough to find...

    Pony Generator

Just put fenders on my Pony. Man, it's hard to squeeze in there now, and I'm just a small feller. Any of you Pony owners have a recommended way you climb up in there? Main question: who can do an overhaul of my generator? Mine's discharging when it should be charging, so battery always runs...

    Pony oil leak from differential

Chuck, From what you say, it sounds like I can't just take apart the side that's leaking and replace the oil seal? Thanks, Bruce Boehmke thatidiotictractor.com

    Pony Rear Wheels

Back wheels have not been off tractor in 20, plus years. Removed the lug nuts, but wheel does not come away. Is there something else necessary to remove, or is it corrosion and other garbage keeping wheel on at this point?

    Pony oil leak from differential

After reading those last posts, I think I'll just drive my dang '52 Pony to the dump and leave it. In order to get there though, I need to fix a gear oil leak that is coming from the left side of the differential. It drips out through the drain hole at the bottom of the brake drum compartment...

    Pony Won't Start When Warm

This one has us going nuts. We've gotten to the point where it isn't too difficult to get the engine going, but starting it after the engine is warm is a problem. It ought to be easy, right? Any suggestions? I did get the tractor going though, for the first time in over two years since...
