F.I.T Comment Re: John Deere R Exploded Gov/Rack

Its amazing that some folks try to read in to such a simple request. F.I.T is probably a senior member and obviously forms his opinion quite easily on simple request such as mine. No service manual means that the tractor was never restored, quite the opposite by my fathers standards! I've...

Eploded View John Deere R Govenor/Rack assy

Actually it is, but if you can read it clealy listed the fuel problem. The auction has been cancelled, I'm going to keep her. F.I.T isn't too fit!

Eploded View John Deere R Govenor/Rack assy

Yes, my father restored the tractor about 4 years ago, I helped some. He was quite the JD guy and grew up with them, if he had a manual then I didn't know of it. I've decided to keep the tractor instead of selling it. He fully rebuilt the engine as well. He's now deceased (for 2 years), which...

    John Deere R

Can someone help me resolve a fuel problem on my John Deere R. The injectors are not getting diesel, we loosened the fuel lines at the injectors and turned the tractor over with the pony engine, no fuel. We also checked the fuel lines for blockage all the way to the filters, no blockage. We...

John Deere R - Kill Switch??

No, we didn't run the tractor constantly on starting fluid, just fired it up a few times. The injectors are not getting diesel, we barely loosened the lines at the injectors and turned the engine over with the pony for about a minute, not a drop of diesel.

John Deere R - Kill Switch??

The lift pump on the side of the tractor is working (by the filters), but we can't seem to get flow through the injector pump on top. We also check all the fuel lines for blockage all the way to the injectors, none found. Any ideas?? Thank-you!

John Deere R - Kill Switch??

Thanks for the reply, where are the injectors located? As far as the kill switch, is that the really small button on the right side of the throttle? Thanks for your help!

    1951 John Deere R Diesel

Thanks for the information David, where is the kill switch? My tractor won't start, I'm thinking the kill switch is stuck or something. We even pulled it off and it never hit once! Any ideas? Thanks

John Deere R - Kill Switch??

Guys, you may have read other post regarding my JD R. We parked this tractor in the barn a few years ago, got it out yesterday and the engine won't start, its not getting fuel. We changed the filters and bled them as we should have and she still won't start. When we parked it, the tractor would...
