    4400

Its been 2 years since I've worked at a dealer but I do believe that series has a thermistor in the fuel solenoid circuit. That fuel solenoid has a pull, hold, and ground. The thermistor allows current to flow to the pull side of the solenoid. Once the thermistor heats up the thermistor opens...

    TW/8030 series axle size

Auction near me Monday with a (tired) 9700, TW15 II, and 8730 FWA. Has a set of axle duals and hubs listed, but doesn't say which one they came off of. I know the 9700 and TW15 have smaller axle shafts than my TW35, but I was wondering about the 8730... same size as my TW?

    JD 2950 steering hard

Just a thought. When you checked the stand by pressure and it was low, that is probably because you have a leak somewhere in the system and it is bleeding the pressure down. You compensated for the leak by cranking the pressure up, now the leak is larger, and the oil is getting extremely hot...

    4230 Injection Pump

I would say it is probably a pump issue with the advance piston. They were known for the advance piston bore getting scorn and having the piston stick. The fix was an updated housing, I believe with a stainless insert and new advance piston.

    7400 Power Quad

The air pump is there to help force hydraulic fluid to rear section. When it goes bad the hydraulic oil quickly overheats, nothing to do with the shifting/operation of the transmission. How many hours are on the clock? I've seen a few pumps worn out. Was the aluminum housing worn? Scored...

    7400 Power Quad

With it being a power quad, its a 4 gear range box with a 4 speed power shift in front of it with a forward and reverse clutch. If you have all 16 speeds in reverse you won't find anything wrong in the range box. Are you saying in forward you can hear it make 4 power shifts? Sounds like...

i need help with 7210 pto

Mostly likely the PTO speed sensor failed. The BCU does not see PTO speed when its engaged and shuts it down because of a problem. I would check the wiring first, then replace the sensor. It should be on top of the PTO housing at the rear of the tractor.

    6000 john deere sprayer problems

I doubt the pump is bad. What size of boom? Nozzle spacing? Nozzle size? Application rate? Does this have any sort of rate controller or are you spraying based on speed and pressure only? Has it worked correctly in the past? What changed?

Questions about 4020 hydraulic line replacement, part.

Thats the rockshaft return line, not a whole lot of pressure. P/N AR26780 OIL LINE A rubber hose would work in a pinch, but I would get a steel line.

    1530

That 1530 should have a lever on the left side of the dash that looks like a throttle lever, its the high low shifter. Its a compound planetary reduction unit, kinda like what is in the quad range tractors. Its spring applied into low (underdrive) and hydraulicly shifted into high (direct)...

    Power shift question

Getting off subject....the 15 speed power shift is a lot nicer than the 8 speeds. The nitrogen and spring accumulators helped a lot. C1 and C2 are easier to service and the PTO clutch was much improved. C3 and brakes still require the cab to be pulled.....We had a 4440 ps turned up to around...

    Seal in Hdy Pump

You should be able to remove the pump without taking the front end off.

    outrageous price!

You can probably blame the dealer for the prices, most parts are probably marked up close to 100% from cost. Try going to a Chevy dealer and getting parts for a 1938 Chevy, they'll laugh you right out of the store. Be happy Deere still makes parts for these tractors.
