    check dipstick length on both. and arent they both same level at top of gear cases at top where they set on castings? im thinking oil level in rear plug is lower than torque tube. as i think back the torque tube is considerably higher oil level. rear dipstick is about 10 or more inches long...

    i learned its best to remove 1 at a time but lock other side tight as it will hold cross shaft up. with both brakes off you might need extra hand to hold shaft up on reassembly. as for springs replace em and the steel balls. the runway where the balls go,use a dremmel or rotery tool and sand...
