    2550 Open Station Replacement Seat

I did contact Grammer directly. They said to contact a third party--the third party said they didn't make a seat for the 2550. However, I imagine both gentlemen I talked to were referencing a computer screen, and not any first- or second-hand knowledge of what will *actually work*.

    2550 Open Station Replacement Seat

Deere wanted anywhere from $800 to $1600 for a replacement seat--I think I'll take my chances with Cambodia for that price...

    2550 Open Station Replacement Seat

Gentlemen, I'm looking to replace the seat on my John Deere 2550 open station with something a bit "better" than the $100 Tractor Supply generic replacement seat. It looks like Grammer doesn't make a seat that fits my tractor (and is likely too expensive, anyway), but I did find this seat...

    2950 Proofmeter Woes

I must be mis-identifying the "board" to which we've referred here. What I "found" is directly under the top of the dash, right beside the tach, and is kind of yellowish, about the size of an index card, and has 4 (or 5, I can't recall at the moment) labeled circuits printed on each side. It...

    2950 Proofmeter Woes

Thanks, centash, I'll try that. I found the circuit board, it looks to be in good shape (although I wouldn't know what to look for to see if it weren't--there aren't any burn marks on it, or broken circuits). Also, it appears as though this board can be turned over in the event something...

    2950 Proofmeter Woes

I have a 2950 SoundGard I bought back in the fall, and it's spent the winter in various states of dis-assembly as I'm getting it ready for the hay field this summer. The "proofmeter" doesn't work on it (the cluster gauge that shows the hours and the engine RPMs). When our mechanic had the...

    2950 Wiring Diagram

Thanks for advice, guys. My wife, the eBay/Amazon/Google Guru, found a reprint of the full service manual for the 2950 (table of contents page shows "Wiring Diagrams") for less than $50. Supposed to be here Monday. Even if it doesn't have the full detailed diagrams, it's still something good...

    2950 Clutch Cylinder Sourcing

Thank you for the tips, guys. I ordered one from Amazon, it should be here next week.

    2950 Clutch Cylinder Sourcing

Thanks for the advice. I'm in Southwest Virginia. There's a good salvage yard near me, Abingdon Equipment. They specialize in Fords, but do have a couple Deeres on their lot, including a 3140 SGB. It's pretty well stripped down, so I'm not hopeful, but I'm going to check with them this afternoon

    2950 Wiring Diagram

I am in need of a comprehensive wiring diagram for my 2950. It's not in the I&T shop manual. I used to have a 4050 that I needed a wiring diagram for, and even the Mother Deere manual didn't have it for that tractor, either. There was a *thick* shop manual I found online that was well...

    2950 Clutch Cylinder Sourcing

I am needing to replace the "lower" (larger) clutch cylinder on my 2950 SGB. Deere "offers" two cylinders, one is from A&I (I believe; I know it's A&[something]), it's just over $100. The other is from Deere--it's $300. In trying to source the cheaper cylinder, my dealer tells me...

Deere 245 Loader vs. 148 - Loader Cylinder Connections

Sorry, Gents, I replied on the separate thread 36 A created. I hope that doesn't lead to any confusion or unnecessary cross-posting. Yes, my 245 connects like in the picture Jim.ME posted, Kansas 4010. Tx Jim, the 720 attachment brackets would likely work, as long as the upper and lower...

Re: Deere 2950 Rear Glass - Convert from N. American to Eur

Thank you! The only thing I believe will be any kind of issue is if the European glass is the same overall width and height as the North American glass. The rest of the NA parts interchange, so far as I can tell.

Radara Deere 245 vs 148 loader cylinder connection

Dad and I brainstormed with an ag teacher friend of mine yesterday afternoon--I think we've come up with a solution: Make up a set of "boots" (the rectangular pieces with U-shaped channels on the top that accept rods on the implements) like the ones on the end of the loader arms of the 245 to...
