    1950 8n ford 3rd gear tooth missing.

    Only hear a clicking noise when in any gear while operating at all speeds. Noise never stops, and clicks at trans rpms. This happened when trans got stuck in 2 gears.

    Thanks, I found the piece of tooth and cleaned out trans.

    It is the 2nd gear that is not used. Half the tooth is missing. Have pic but will not load to post. Thanks

    Have 1950 8n with broke gear. Question is should I drive and use tractor with this one tooth missing or repair. Has noise but seems to be ok. Randy
