    I have 1937 unstyled A serial# 464670. it all original. It came out from factory with 10 spline axles with F&H wheels. I found axle housing casting number is A4R. I cannot find any information and in parts book on A4R. Is that housing from early A? I was told by research that my A was built...

    49 John Deere A starter question

    It happen to on my 51 model A. It was starter is weak. So I put rebuilt starter in it and the tractor starts right up. I believe your starter need to be rebuilt.

    After I replaced new bearings, snap ring and a good used gear. There a gap between inner race and step up shaft like in picture with yellow circle. Does bearing inner race and gear suppose press all the way down step up shaft OR inner race and gears suppose to be all way up against the snap...
