Identify This Disc
No, never did. The discs were rusted pretty bad with a lot of metal loss from sitting in the ground. I bought a more conventional (yet old) Ford Disc at a farm auction. Mine is in the scrap metal pile. Good luck with yours.- RedDawg

Ford 3000 loading up
I've got a 1968 Ford 3000 gas model that is having a fuel problem. After an hour or so of working with any kind of load on it, the engine seems to bog down, it starts missing and losing power. I have to take the load off to keep it running and then the missing cylinder(s) start firing again... -

Proper next step?
Worked on the 640 yesterday. Remember, it has a brand new battery in it. I tried to start it before I tried anything else. Amazingly it turned about a quarter revolution. I tried it again but it only clicked. So I tried the tapping trick with the hammer. I captured the video after a few taps... -

JD Backhoe running at high idle with key off and out
Changed the fuel filter (that's an interesting configuration). Filled it with diesel. Added a pint of Sea Foam. Cleaned up the electrical connections to the injector pump. Starts and runs fine - and shuts off properly. Won't really put it to hard work until tomorrow when we trench a water...- RedDawg

Thanks everyone. I'll be checking the grounds and other connections again. The starter being stuck is an interesting idea. I'll try the 'tapping' trick to begin with and then move on to trying to rock it like Skemp suggested. Really appreciate the suggestions. I'll write back with what I... -

And my early 1955 Ford 640 (Serial #2190) has angled floor boards and 1 3/8" PTO shaft. Although it does have a vane pump. -

Ford 3000 coil part number
Ok, it has a RUC15 "Ignition Coil 12 Volts Internal Resistor" coil on it right now. Guess it has been replaced in the past. Now I know what coil to get. Thanks everyone. -
