    3point on M Famall

Jerry RV, I have a 3 point with two 3" cylinders mounted on my Super H. I have a 3 point with two 4" cylinders mounted on my M. Both of these set-ups will lift way more than I can manage because of the front ends lifting off the ground. I think if I weighted the front ends down enough the lift...

IH 340 won't run when it's hot except with choke on

tom hater, I had the same problem with a IH 300. Suggestion: check voltage exiting resister to coil. (In my case the voltage drop was only to 9.9 volts. I installed 2 resisters in series; then the voltage dropped to 4.9 volts. The tractor has been running perfect for a year now). Good luck. John

    ?'s for homemade 3 pt. for M

Lance, Copy the side you built for the one cylinder and build same for the other side. Install two 4" cylinders. You'll be able to lift way more than you ever thought possible. Your problem now will be to keep front of tractor on the ground, but you'll get used to it. I built one like I just...

    whats it worth?????

Mike W, I have a 1942 M that I bought for $1350. It already had NEW rear tires on it. I had to buy a battery. That's all I've spent on it in 6 years...I use it every day. I see most Ms advertised for, as already stated, around $1200-$1500. I believe $2000, with it needing $800 for new rear...

Dr. Bert, I read your conversation with Glennster. I'm pretty sure M was fitted with new cam gear and new front cover beginning in 1950, forward. John

    Three point hitch for M

Rusty, I have a Saganaw on a H, and a Worksaver on a SH. They are very similar and both very adequate. New price, I think Saganaw is a little less than Worksaver, but not much. As far as I'm concerned they are essentially equal, and with that in mind, if I were you, I would talk very seriously...

    H Carb. Problems

Tweeter, I just looked at my H Serviceman's Guide. The 1-27/32" measurement is taken from the bottom of the float to the top af gasket in between the top and bottom halves of carburator. Hope this helps. John

    H Carb. Problems

Tweeter, It's been a while, but I think the measurement is 1-27/32; look at your instructions again. John

checking oil level in lift all

Charles, Pull the dip stick out carefully, (hopefully with oil on it); using your DRY finger lightly touch the dip stick beginning at the top of stick, looking at your finger after each touch, until you finally see oil. There is your level.

    Model M manual

Buck Wayne, If you have a 3-point hitch on your M, it is either after-market or home made. Saganaw and Worksaver both sell 3-point hitch for M. These hitches can be ordered with either two cylinders or one cylinder. The Worksaver that I have on a H has two 3" cylinders. I copied that one, using...

    International Super A foot throttle

Joe, I forgot to add: You can interchange the axle, but you have to use the steering gear housing base that is used on the round axle. This base utilizes the small pivot shaft. The heavy duty axle (diamond shape) utilizes the heavy duty base which accomodates the large pivot shaft. The steering...

Joe, Where are you located? I have a SAI with the Hwy mower, but I'm missing a part. If you are going to part out your mower I am interested. My e-mail is open. Thanks. John

    placement of decals Farmall C

Well shoot, Scott. Now you got me wonderin'. So now I had to go out to the barn and look at a few of the Little Red Machines. I also took another walk through Guy's book. As noted before, the book is not specific about the decal placement on the Super C. But if you look on page 41 at the C one...
