I have a late 1948 styled B we were able to get down to the 3500 pound class and it does quite well. We did the usual ie; pressed wheels, flat back with pto we fabricated brackets with angle iron to fit the seat but we also found out if we took the front pedestal off from a 39 or a 40 John...

    John Deere gasket

I suppose I could make a gasket, I"m not that good with my hands I have arthitis which makes it difficult for me to follow a pattern. Besides, I don"t have the old gasket to make a template which would make it much easier for me to cut out. Thanks

    John Deere gasket

I am looking for the large gasket that goes between the block and crankcase on a 1945 John Deere A. I don"t live close to a John Deere dealer and I have looked on the web with really no luck. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

A few years ago I was at a tractor pull with my 1948 John Deere B it did the same thing as you just described. After checking as much as I could I checked the petcocks and the one on the pulley side was open! Problem solved... Good Luck hope it turnes out this simple.

    dual ex on g

It has been done. Uncle Buck, whom I had the pleasure of knowing, ran one of the hottest Gs you would ever want to watch. Not only did he have dual exhast he had dual carbs also. You can watch him on youtube. Unfortunetly he passed on this winter he will be sorely missed...

JD model B multiple fluid leaks

I have several old John Deere Two bangers, and not a one of them doesn't leak. Think about it, the two cylinders are banging and rattling all the time and some of them are well over 70 years old now and still running. True, maybe as stated in an earlier post about American made stuff leaking...
