4000 industrial and 4400
I"m looking at a backhoe attachment that came off a 4000 industrial tractor (4 cylinder.) Is there any chance this will bolt without too much difficulty or modification to the late 60"s 4400? Does anyone know of some sort of cross reference between implements (like loader and backhoe) and... -

Ford 5000 and 4400
Thanks for all the input - I'm trying to increase my chances of finding something that won't require a lot of cutting and welding. So Woodbutcher, could it be that the 4400 and 4500 are more similar than the 4400 and 5000? I think the 4400 castings are more robust than the 4000, but perhaps... -

I have been looking for a loader and backhoe that were factory made to fit a 4400. I have seen some components that would fit the 4400 (according to literature) mounted on 4500 tractors. Are the engine, transmission and axle housing the same between the two? Is there a lot or a little... -

I have a Ford 4400 and want to put a loader on it. There is one for sale near-by which is mounted on a Ford 5000 ( both tractors are '65 or later). Does anyone know if the 4400 and 5000 engine and transmission castings are the same. Would this loader bolt directly on to the 4400 if it fits a...
