    white 2-155 losing anti freeze

Yes, the whites were reliable power when they were newer, but anymore are quirky and tough to keep running. I tried to trade it about 4 different times but no one wanted it even 10 years ago. I don't want to put a bunch of $ into a hercules. I do have a cummins 5.9 out of a truck. Is this a...

    white 2-155 losing anti freeze

The 155 is now a dedicated manure pump tractor. It hasn't run since fall. After checking all the fluids I started it the other day and the antifreeze started to run out of the radiator almost immediately. I thought that maybe it was just over full, but today iy was doing the same thing. Anybody...

    rusted fenders

Any of these tractors at the salvage yard have been burned. Will they be OK if they are painted or will they be warped from the heat?

    rusted fenders

The 7800 has come in the shop for various repairs. I would like to replace the fenders as they have rusted through and look extremely ratty. This is a high houred tractor.(19,000 hrs) it still gets plenty of use and I would like to spiff it up a bit. I priced the fenders through the dealer $428...

    decal removal

I have a jd 6420 that the decal was mostly peeled off the side. I picked the rest off and power washed it yesterday. I want to put a new decal on it but think I should prepare it better. There is still alot of stickyness on the hood and the part that was peeling has a discolored streak on it...

    jd 4430 w 148 loader

I just picked up a nice 4430 tractor from my neighbor with a 148 loader. My question is if anyone has one of these with a joystick control & midmount coupler. This one just plugs into scv ports and is unhandy for anything but drawbar work. My dealer said that the midmount & joystick was no...

    fuel in oil jd 2755

OK. So the tractor was running as good as ever. I will assume that that means is not an injector. That being said is the lift pump & transfer pump the same thing. Is this the "thumb" pump on the side of the block? I got tied up with welding a skidsteer bucket & salesman so am just now getting...

    fuel in oil jd 2755

I'm sure this has been discussed many times but my 2755 with 22,000 hours on the clock now has diesel in the motor oil. If I recall the cause of this might be a bad injector. Am I correct? What other things should I look for? I'M needeind to do as much as I can myself as the hours don't allow me...

    Being hard on equipment

Pull type forage harvester. Run em full and It will really work the engine & cooling system. Plus you are pulling the weight of the wagon as it fills. You can be pulling through less than ideal conditions in corn silage.

    first traffic offense

I don't really remember the first one as there have been a hand full over the years. That's not to say I was ever in danger of losing my license. I had a few warnings first so I'm sure I have it coming when I eventually did get the first ticket. The one that stands out is, we were headed to the...

    Three years sure goes quick

I know what you mean about reading two words and the mind wandering. I have that happen even with the stuff I'm interested in. dad has his right now but I suppose I will have to get the license at some point soon. At least when you get it there will be little worry about it the next three years.
