    the holes in your old one are for oil drain back. I would look for one to match the old one. Just my opinion.

    could you run your jumper through another push button switch? Just hold the switch till you have oil pressure.

    about a half a teaspoon of bonami per cylinder will seat those rings no matter what season you use it

    the one I own has the number on the right side. It is kind of hard to see if you are not standing on the tractor by the shifter. Mine is 8400306

    730 camshaft

    Effingham regrinding in Effingham,Il. (217-342-4186) ask for Dean. They built up my crankshaft and reground it and built up the fuel injector lobes on the cam and reground them as well.

    My oil up measures about 8" and the body is a little wider. The exhaust manifold and fan pedestal make it hard to get a good measurement on the body but it may be about 9"
