oil pressure switch on pony

got the pony on the 720 and i was hoping to put a oil pressure switch on it controlling the ignition system so if it don't have oil pressure it'll shut it down right away.

the problem i am running in to is that it wont create enough pressure at cranking speed to close the switch, if i jump the oil switch till it starts and take off the jumper it runs like it should.

what other options or how else could i wire it so it would shut it down if it don't have oil pressure? the switch is suppose to close at 2-6 psi.

i tried running a wire from the 3rd terminal on the push button to the distributor bypassing the oil switch while cranking, sorta like on the gas tractors that by passed the resistor when starting, but then it fires and as soon as i let off the button it quits.

On most Murphy switches you push a button on the
gage to close the switch to start and when pressure
fails the switch opens and shuts it down. Most any
gen set or irrigation has this type gage installed.
