    Ford differences

    I recently saw a link to a site that described the differences in 9N, 2N, and 8N Fords with several pictures and lots of details. Does anyone have that link? Thanks

    Govenor problems DELL? BOB?

    Thanks for the reply. I have found the governor to cause very little problem. I have a 600, the lift sticks at the top once in a while, giving me fits. Have to let it sit and when it does go down it works okay for a while, only sticks at the very top. Any suggestions?

    Govenor problems DELL? BOB?

    Several things other than the goveror may be your problem. Consider a complete tune up of the engine, plugs, points, condensor, carburetor clean and replace gaskets. After that check the timing of the spark and the oil bath cleaner needs more than changing the oil in the pan occassionally...

    Ford NAA

    If you have completed your project, ignore these remarks. A small wire inside the distributer must be connected to the breaker plate to complete the circuit to ground as this is what the points do. The points is a switching device that takes voltage to ground from the coil. When closed the...

    I have a weird question....

    What difference could it possibly make?

    Ford 2000- no fire

    If you would make sure you have voltage on one side of the coil (6 volt), then remove the wire going to the distributer and replace it with a temporary wire long enough to place it on ground at the block. With the coil wire held close to ground you will have a spark when you disconnect the...

    Zenith Carb for 3cyl fords

    Let me assure the price will be insignificant after you try the Zenith. I worked with the Holley over several weeks with no improvement. The Zenith can't be beat.

    2000 Ford, 3 cyl, 4 speed trans

    Where is the check point for the rear end of the 2000 Ford and what is the correct oil for it? Is it the same level and type as the transmission? I thought I could find this, but it escapes me.

    One backwards rear tire

    Traction tires, such as are on farm tractors as well as construction equipment are designed primarily to shed mud from the tire to prevent it from becoming logged with mud and therefore providing no traction. Front tires that do not pull are installed in the reverse order for the same reason...

    Ford 2000 {no fire}

    Have you solved your firing problem? There is a ground wire that must be attached to the breaker plate for the current to flow to ground when the points close. When you go directly to the cam shaft from the point arm you are making ground. The floating breaker plate must be grounded. Let me...

    Ford 2000 {no fire}

    By some slim chance have you placed the coil wire directly to a spark plug without going through the cap? If the spark plug fired, then the problem would be from the rotor, cap, wires, or may even be the plugs themselves. Be sure the plug is grounded when checking for spark. Also, use a new...
