    560 Diesel Glow Plug Button

Do any of you guys know if those buttons are still available. My dads is bad on his tractor and also his rotary headlight switch. I found the headlight switches on here but cannot seem to find one of the glow plug button/meter.

    H governor surging

check governor spring or any binding or linkage issues. Also check for play in the linkage when the tractor is shut off this might expose some wear that could be an issue.

400 Electrical Has Me Just Fascinated!

Okay guys, laugh at me. I bought a 560 it had no lights, it had two 6 volt batteries mounted to the side of it instead of under teh hood for easier access I presume. It is a diesel so have to run the glow plugs about 90 seconds before I crank. They are those long narrow batteries hooked together...

560 Hydraulics Quit - Making Very Loud Noises

okay, sounds like a trip to the local repair shop as we dont have a way to split the tractor, it does need the clutch replaced and torque fixed too so I presume we could get that done at the same time. Thanks for your info guys, its going to be an expensive repair I guess.

    1206 NF picture

What an old Brute. I like the old 1206s. NF not a big deal but I much prefer the Wide Fronts overall for general use. Don't get me wrong, for doing yard work, turning short, a 300 Farmall even without P/S is an awesome tractor for a hobby farm. I grew up on a 400 LPG with a narrow front and it...

560 Hydraulics Quit - Making Very Loud Noises

Well, Dad called me a while ago, very distressed. Said he went out to mow with the brush hog around the corners of the field where they couldn"t get with the baler and he engaged the PTO and went about 50 feet through the 18" to 24" high pasture grass and the tractor made this loud howling noise...

    Carburetor, Model A

I have rebuilt several DLTX carbs of various models and yes there are many orfices in them that run all different directions. The best thing I have ever found for cleaning them out is guitar strings. They are stiff and rigid and the wound ones will pick up stuff and drag it out on the ridges.

    advice on tractors please

John - I have some interesting thought for you to ponder. 1) how much time do you spend on the tractor in the DUST-DIRT or HEAT or SNOW/Cold, what part of the country are you from as it might pertain to the answer. I have not personally owned a tractor with a cab but have operated several. I...

    Wico X Mag - Hmmmmm

holy smokes John that was some description, I guess you are going to love my result, I have no idea what I did, i sanded down every spot that touched any part of the tractor, any screw that touched anything, all wires checked for cracks, all rust removed, put everything back together then...

    Wico X Mag - Hmmmmm

Ok, I found a post by John T and it said I should ahve a good amount of spark from the button on the coil to ground, well its not very strong if you ask me, it will barely jump from the cast of the mag to the little black jumper wire with alligator clips on it. it might spark at best 1/16th of...

water pipe repair for unstyled G

we had a piece of automotive exhaust bent for ours and then took it to the local repair/welding shop and they brazed it in no problem. We also had them cut it a little shorter so we can put in a longer piece of rubber hose so it was easier to assemble.

    Wico X Mag - Hmmmmm

K fellas, I have a Wico X mag. It gets no spark at points so I remvove the wire at the points and it gets no spark to ground. So I took both wires loose from the coil ( hard black thing with two wires coming out of it ) it has a button on the bottom of it that I presume is where it is supposed...

    1948 John Deere B Hood

Hey Guys, THANKS - I found a hood for him!!!! We also found the Air Cleaner Assembly as well. 20 bucks for the air cleaner and 40 bucks for the hood and it hasn"t been cut around the muffler. Had to remove it out in the weeds and I will probably have about 100 dollars in chiggers. I wanted...
