Thanks for the reply. Thats a cool mod. The center rod had to be extended too? Did you set the spring at the same measurment as original for the bypass? The newer filter is more readily available? Taller and smaller in diameter? Rob -

Ford dearborn model 724-725 loader
I have a 1964 or 65 ford 2000 diesel, light industrial tractor with a 724 loader that I'm looking for a hydraulic filter for. Ford part number 290417. These seem hard to find or obsolete. What have of you folks done for a replacement? Thanks, Rob
