Oil drain plug on engine side.

    Got it. Yes it’s a 1/4.

Oil drain plug on engine side.

You are correct. It’s a 1/4. Forgive my ignorance when it comes to plug sizing, haha. I just knew that the opening was a half inch approximately and was basing off that. I was a finish carpenter, not a plumber, haha. What I found fits nicely. Thanks for the tip.

Oil drain plug on engine side.

    I’m thinking it’s a half inch!

Oil drain plug on engine side.

Does anyone happen to know the size of the drain plug just beside the oil filter on a Farmall 130? Mine was seized and had to drill it out because the head was stripped off. Can I go back with a brass one to keep it from seizing again? Or stick with the steel on cast iron and use Teflon or anti...

    Farmall 130 service manual

I am finding that a 140 manual is pretty close so far. I have a decent mechanical aptitude and was mostly looking for the assembly and torque specs. I got used to having a really thorough Cub repair manual and was hoping to find one specifically for the 130. Thanks for all the advice!

    Farmall 130 service manual

The only IT manual I can find is the 1021 and it only has 56 pages that cover some of the models and it isn’t very in depth like the one you might have. I’m going to have to take bits and pieces of several manuals, including one for a 140, to make it work and add in some guess work it looks like.

    Farmall 130 service manual

I have the same. It’s listed as a 130 manual but isn’t. It has just a few items that may apply, but… Looks like I am going to have to use it, the IT manual and 140 manual all at the same time to find bits and pieces to work.

    Farmall 130 service manual

I’m looking for a dedicated 130 service manual for my 1958 130. So far I’ve been misled on the IH manual that says it’s 200+ pages and turns out to be about 58 and covers multiple numbered tractors with just a few pages on the 130. I ordered the set from Binder Books and it doesn’t cover the 130...

    Oil pan dent

Totally forgot about using the press. Thank you.

    Oil pan dent

I’m working on the front half of the 1958 Farmall 130 and trying to get the bodywork looking better. The oil pan has a huge dent from where a cultivator probably jumped up and hit it. How’s the best way to fix this? I’m no bodywork pro or even close, but try to get it as close as possible and...

    Farmall 130 oil filter leaking

I’ll be taking it off again for the rest of the paint job and will double check. I’m fairly certain that I got an old crusty one out in the beginning with the tools you speak of.

    Farmall 130 oil filter leaking

Yes, there was an old ring in there on an early oil change and cleaned it out thoroughly. I have also tried to get it as close as possible to the groove as I slowly tighten it. That’s why I’m a little frustrated, that I’ve done everything as close as possible and it’s still leaking.

    Farmall 130 oil filter leaking

I’ve been a member for a while but have been busy with other projects and getting back to the 130. I had to sell most of my Cubs unfortunately and trying to hold onto the last one as long as possible, a 1955 that I pretty much totally original as well as the 130. I have made certain that on...

    Farmall 130 oil filter leaking

I think I’m going to convert it over to a screw on filter like a lot of others are doing, but still keep the original in case I have to sell the tractor. It actually came with the original metal fertilizer hopper and accessories.

    Farmall 130 oil filter leaking

I’m having trouble getting a good seal on my Farmall 130 oil filter cover. It seems to want to leak around the base and the top as well. I have thoroughly cleaned the groove at the base where the o-ring gasket fits into and also have a new crush washer in the top of the bolt. Am I missing...
