    Hopefully this pic will load, I see a 4 & 6. Hopefully the 4 tooth is above & a little to the right of the "4", think I do see a tiny dot there. They didn't waste a lot of effort to make the markings any more significant. thanks

    Your right where I am, just got block back from machine shop, sleeved all 4 cylinders. Crank, block, bearings & pistons had no sign of wear. Haven't tried pistons yet. Don't look like he had to deck block much so maybe I'll be lucky. My problem is getting main & thrust bearing, the big Ford...

    256 vs 268 engine

    Thanks for the info! The Ford Service Manual for the 755, 755A 755B doesnt list the stroke for the 268 let alone make mention of the 268 engine. So the 268 is a square (b & s) engine.
