Oliver 1250 - No Throttle to control rpm.

I have moving the tractor from one field to another when the rpm went from 2000 to 1000 in a few seconds. I noticed a spring missing that connects a lever to the frame that is part of the accelerator. I replaced the spring but there seems to be a broken link with the throttle. I was wondering if...

    Tractor Starter issue

My 2N recently had a tune-up, new harness, new plugs, distributor and coil, ignition switch and resistor (less than 20 hours of use since tune-up). Everything was working fine without any issues but I went out to start it after a short break (3-4 hours) and it won't start. There is no clicking...

In the end it was the distributor points not making contact and I want to thank everyone for your advice and comments. I feel I got to know this tractor...

    2N Tractor won't start

Installed new points, rotor, and cap. Admusted points to 0.015. Tractor seemed to want to start (4 attempts) but didn't. The ammerter did register a few amps with the key turned to the on position. Had a few other things to attend to and removed key from the ignition and came back 10 minues...

    2N Tractor won't start

The tractor was running but sat for 3 months in the winter. I winterized it and started it just to keep it happy. However, now it won't start. I have clean connections between the ignition, ballast resistor, ammeter, cutout, solenoid, battery, generator, and distributor. The carburetor is in...

I've watched the video and read the descriptions above which I can follow and apparently I'm doing things right but I'll get better hooking up the plow with time. Thanks Stuart

Single bottom plow hook up on 2N tractor

Does anyone have specific step by step instructions for hooking up a single bottom plow to a 3 pt hitch on a N series tractor with the post hook up adjustments needed? Diagrams and photos would be great and a video would be better. Thanks, Stuart

Removing the lead wires from distributor cap on 2N tractor

In the service manual for 9N and 2N tractors it says to pull the spark plug lead wires away from to the distributor cap. Do they just pull away with a firm tug? Is there something I need to be aware of when removing the wires other than the order? Thanks. Stuart
