Thanks NoNewParts! Now I have to find the drain holes/cotter pins to be sure they are clear. I have the manual. I guess I can find them in there.

    Reinstalling my rebuilt starter

Thanks! Where does the flywheel pick up lubricant. I figure it is the crankcase. Do you think that in time that metal paste will be washed into the drainpan?

    Starter re-installation

I just have a quick question about re-installing a starter I had rebuilt. Is any lubrication necessary between the flywheel and the gears of the starter that engage it? If so, what type/weight of lubricant is best for this? Thanks!

    Wire gauges

I just noticed that my alternator has more than one wire running to it but none of the JMOR diagrams show anything like that. Does anyone know of a diagram that would show such a schematic? Thanks

    Wire gauges

Thanks swpaguy. I had found that one but some of the wires are not marked. Such as the wiring to the lamps, and a couple of other ones. I think that may be for the original 6V as well.

    Wire gauges

[b:676b809fb9]Hello, I'm rewiring my old 8N which was converted to 12V at some point in the past. With the help of folks here I located JMOR's excellent wiring diagrams however there is not note of what gauges that should be used. I'm wondering if the color code indicates gages or circuits...
