    Oldest cow you've had on the farm

    Case 1845C no start issue

    I have had the wire to the fuel shutoff solenoid simply come off on mine. It’s tucked in between the pump and the block. I just squeezed the female end on the wire with pliers and it held tight when I put it back on. Although this is on a newer 1845c with the Cummins engine.

    For years I sent blood samples to a lab and would have results within a week. Cost was around $3 per sample. If the test results say she is open then she’s open.     Wandering Pyrenees

    We have a Pyrenees/anatolian cross here to guard livestock and for about the first year we couldn’t keep her on the farm. She wanted to follow any vehicle that left the driveway. We went with the Invisible Fence brand gps collar. It was quite pricy and you have to change the battery every day...

    Beef calf leg issue

    I have cut a piece of 2” pvc longways. Wrap the leg with a small towel and place the pvc over it and wrap it up with a roll of vet wrap. I have done this several times and it works great.

    I just put a couple of old golf balls in the nest boxes and that seems to work quite well. And easy to distinguish from eggs when gathering.
