Ford 3500 Loader lift cylinder problem

It used to work well, but tractor sits for months sometimes, so I don't recall the exact progression, but seems it was misbehaving somewhat the last time we used it.

Ford 3500 Loader lift cylinder problem

I have a 3500 with a 19-526 loader, also has a KD forklift on the back. Both forklift and loader are run by the same front-mounted pump. My problem is that the loader lift cylinders will only barely, sort of, lift. The hydraulics 'stutter' , like they are bypassing?, and load down the...

3400 3 cyl diesel - lots of smoke from crankcase vent

I found the problem. One of my employees installed a loader pump and did not shim it like the old one so it was jamming the engine. It works fine now, but I wonder if I will have trouble with the thrust bearing? Time will tell. Scott HouTex

3400 3 cyl diesel - lots of smoke from crankcase vent

My 3400 diesel has abruptly developed a lot of smoke from the crankcase vent and runs poorly-enough smoke for a fogger. It sounds like one cylinder is not firing and is really cranky to start. It won't come up to rpm and will die if the throttle is slowed down. We have owned this tractor since...

    Ford Loader ID???

The first number is a one not an I, such as 19-xxx. I did not see a 19-336 on the NH parts site, you might check the numbers again then look at the NH parts site. Scott New Holland parts search

    engine noise '64 2000

The cam gear on the front will make noise if it is loose on the camshaft. Also the gear on the other end of the cam that drives the pump can get loose (more likely), it could be checked when the pump is removed. Don"t know of any easy way to check the front gear. Listening with a stethoscope (or...

O/T... chopper control box (kinda long)

Thats why I said he needs some load on the circuit, to identify the voltage drop across the bad connection. He said he was measuring full voltage some of the time. Scott

703 Loader Bucket Drops in Neutral Position

I found mine by taking the hose off of the forward port on the cylinder(the one that pushes down) and then trying to raise the loader. If oil blows out the open port, then the piston seal has failed. Scott

O/T... chopper control box (kinda long)

If you are using a digital meter, it may be giving you some false readings when checking bad connections. Try checking with something like one of those "ice pick" testers that will draw some current. A poor connection will show up better with a load. Or you could measure with your loads...

Replace or rebuild engine oil pump-134 gas?

I am rebuilding my 64' 2000 w/134 gas engine. I see oil pump rebuild kit or a new pump. Is it worth it to rebuild or should I just buy the new pump? The difference is $42 if bought from this site. Thanks, Scott

OT Fluorescent Lamps for Pole Barn

The determining factor for the temperature is the ballast. T12 slimline ballasts(magnetic) are good to 50 deg T12 H.O.magnetic are good to -20 deg T8 slimline electronic ballast are good to 32 deg T12 slimline are no longer made as a fixture because of energy saving legislation, although you...

    700 Ford

My pump behaved as you describe. I bought a kit and rebuilt the pump, now it works better than it had been lately and holds its prime. I doubt an o-ring inside the trans would matter,at least for suction(priming) since it should be submerged in oil. A repair video recommends as a last effort...

    4000 SU 3 cyl. gas

I haven't had to change mine, but the location looks difficult. I personally have wondered why it has one at all. Scott
