    Farmall Super M Push Rod Cover gasket

    Yes I have some but it is thin stuff. That gasket is is fairly tbick because the plate is held on only by few bolts down the center so I assume gasket is thick as to allow for compression so it seals. The covers themselves are like tin amd not something you can torque down for a good seal...

    Stiener Parts states this is the same as the water jacket cover gasket on the other side but it isnt. Push rod cover is taller and has rounder corners. Any ideas on where to get one?

    I will get one...what exactly would I ask for at autozone? An SI repair plug? I am safety consious so paranoid about fuel leaks with needle sticking and forgetting to shut off fuel that I installed a 12 volt cutoff valve in the fuel line wired to ignition. I can just see gallons of fuel...

    12 volt conversion issue

    It was intermittant...I cut off connector and soldered better ones on. It appeared fine but when i rolled alt back up to bolt down it would break connection. You cant see the posts when alt is in position it is against motor.

    I did! There was a bad connection on the sensing lead. Now charging 13.8 volts. All is good and thanks for your help.

    Got it...made better connections on all points and used a better meter. Thanks Guys...charging 13.6 now.

    You might be on to something. See the number 1 wire was wired odd I think. It comes off one side of the oil pressure switch so when I turn on key there is no voltage to the number 1 post until oil pressure is sensed and it completed the circuit in the switch. this may take a few seconds and...
