    Throttle Control

    i would first check your throttle linkage all the way to the carb visually to make sure nothing is loose. i would then suspect a fuel line block making it run lean

    will an 8n drum pto drive fit on a te20?

    well i got it. it came off a 1948 8n and appears to be an original ford part as it look identical to the one in his ford manual. i still have a 1 1/8" pto so it should bolt right up.

    not sure i follow. you mean 1.55:1 in low and 1:1 in high, or did they reverse it so it was 1:1.55 in high (.645:1) ? if it was 1:1, were the step-down and creepers a fixed gear that was always engaged? thanks for the lesson by the way.

    jim, thanks for the explanation. i did not realize the high range was an overdrive compared to stock. i also did not realize it was intended to provide in between gears. that is a neat idea and could be useful with my loader as i am finding that i need something between 1st and 2nd to get it...
