What is this mount/bracket for?

Anyone recognize the bracket/mount in front of the foot pedal? Disk Terrisor? Mid mount mower... Just seems to be on the wrong side. But it does have a Ferguson tag.

A similar picture/question was posted several months ago. I have a 1948 8N tractor with a very similar bracket. Is there one on the other side also? Does it have a 6" pulley wheel attached. I was told my 8N had a loader on it and this was the bracketry. My TO 35 loader bracket is a completely different configuration.Good luck on your search!

I would say it is neither of those you mention but there should be a number and letters stamped into that plate, what is it?...we will be able to trace from that.Disc Terracer was on right side, a mid mounted mower was available both sides but bracketry doesn't look like any mower I have seen.I wonder if it was for a side mounted baler, is there anything on the right side?..John

This tractor is on flea-bay (220474383499) so I cannot get any SN info.

There is nothing on the other side. Nor are there any other brackets visible... many pictures presented on the listing.

I'll ask the Ferguson Group on the side and see if an answer comes forth.

Good set of tyres on it, but far too hard as usual. I bet it doesn't pull very much in that condition and with grass tyres, I can't understand why they try to run with them so hard, they just don't grip like that even Agric tyres are useless when too hard....John

WITH THOSE TIRES AND THE WAY THE REAR WHEELS ARE SPACED IT is set up for grass mowing. maybe a golf course???

It is indeed set up for work on grassy slopes, but grass is notoriously difficult to obtain a good grip especially if you are running on a mown area, if you drop the tyre pressures it makes the tyre have a bigger contact with the ground and it will then have more grip. The tyres need to have a slightly flat area on the bottom, this way you get more grip and spread the weight as well.
If you tried to work on a slope with them so hard I would not be surprised if it did not sit and spin its wheels..John

As I posted above, the bracket is for a PEO-21 belly mount sickle bar mower. When mowing hay with a sickle bar, you want the wheels spread so they straddle the previously mown row while you're cutting the NEXT row. Probably someone's hay cuttin' tractor.

maybe, just maybe the belly mt. sickle mower has been long gone and the tractor was used to mow grass. i have seen many on a golf course with tire spacing like that and the implement tires on the front. either way its a hay/grass cutter.
