    3010 Generator

So my Gen light has been on since I rebuilt the top half of the engine. I took the generator in and had it tested and cleaned up. It bench tested good at two different shops. Slapped it back together and the Gen light is still on. It is a positive ground system. I tried to polarize the...

    Generator Polarization

Generator light is on and I had the gen tested and rebuilt. Generator light is still on and I believe it needs to be repolarized. Can anyone tell me a an easy way to repolarize the gen? It's hard to get at my regulator with my loader on. Thanks

    3010 generator

Thank you John. I kind of thought it might be the polarization. Now, is there an easy way to polarize the generator? My battery is connected backwards, grounding strap goes to positive. I'm new at this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks again

    3010 generator

I have a 3010 gas and the generator light came on after I replaced the head. I didn't to anything to the electrical system other than disconnect the battery. I took the generator in to have it benched and it tested bad so I have it rebuilt. It looks really nice but my generator light is still...

Thanks for all concerned. After eliminating all else I removed the head and had it pressure tested. It was cracked in two places. She is back together and running again.

    3010 Overheating?

Well, this has been one tumultuous ride. A few times I thought I had her licked and something else would come back to bite me. When I was finally convinced it was the head I ordered the complete service manual. Then I when to do a compression test and two of my spark plugs came out by hand...

    3010 Overheating?

P.S. My external block temp was just under 200 and only a couple degrees difference side-to-side. Upper hose in the 180s. Didn't seem excessively hot.

    3010 Overheating?

Thanks, got an IR thermo gun at Menards for 30 bucks and it works fine for coolant and block temps. So I talked to a couple people who said the same as you and I was prepared to replace it but wanted to make sure. Ran at PTO speed for about 5 minutes with the radiator cap off, looking for...

    3010 Head Gasket

Anyone have any experience with a 3010 gas head gasket? Just lookin to see what I'm in for? Any advice? Any ideas what to look for when the head's off? Any history of cracked heads or block? I think I'm losing oil into the coolant is that gives any clues. Thanks

    3010 Overheating?

P.S. Is it possible for a temp gauge to work but peg out in the wrong position? Is it possible the gauge just started working again? Or is it the guy that owns my tractor is overthinking this?

    3010 Overheating?

I have a 1963 3010 gas and it has been a very solid tractor. The temp gauge didn't move much since I have had it but it moves so I assumed it was running cool because I never ran it for very long. I was pulling a ten wheel rake the other night for a couple hours which was the first time I ran...

    510 baler

It should work with my valve spool for my loader, shouldn't it? Thanks for the reply.

    510 baler

Just bought a 510 round baler. Anyone familiar with this baler? I know I can hook up one set of hoses to my remote but what do I do with the other set? One set for knotter, one for ejection lift. I have a loader with a two lever spool. If I use the loader quick connects which lever will be...
