3010 generator

I have a 3010 gas and the generator light came on after I replaced the head. I didn't to anything to the electrical system other than disconnect the battery. I took the generator in to have it benched and it tested bad so I have it rebuilt. It looks really nice but my generator light is still on. Any suggestions?

I would Polarize the genny before you start her again and see what hapens??

Thank you John. I kind of thought it might be the polarization. Now, is there an easy way to polarize the generator? My battery is connected backwards, grounding strap goes to positive. I'm new at this, any help would be appreciated.
