    you could dump some sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide to mix with the water. provided the pistons werent aluminum. It will dissolve the rust but i wouldnt over do it as it can damage babbit bearings

    Haha yeah the tractor will not be stored in doors. its a tractor, it should be able to withstand the elements. to30 has been out there for 57 years and is fine. This 504 fires right up even in <40 degrees today without even choking it.

    Is this what they normally look like or do i have a different one? I dont see any vent or drain or level plug on the side. It doesnt look like the one in the manual either. Is it possible this shares its fluid with the transmission or itsa dry clutch?
