    I have a 2000 Chevy with a 4-way trailering plug. Would I need to change the plug out to a bigger one say, like a seven?

    I recently bought a used deck trailer to haul my tractor with. The trailer has a 6000 lb winch mounted on the tongue. The winch battery is mounted inside the tongue area just under the winch. Here's my question; how should I wire the winch battery so that it can be charged by the trucks' alternator?

    Ford 1600 diesel won't start

    Make sure the batt voltage is up to snuff. Put it on trickle charge for a while. When you go to crank it, wrap a gas rag around the breather. It's not as bad as ether but will help kick her off.

    Well, I'm going to have it checked before I let my shop work on it, I was just trying the little things before I go to the trouble of pulling it. I'm also using the tractor while I figure it out. Lot of things to do round here before planting.
