    Where can I find exploded parts diagrams with specs. and dimensions for a John Deere 70?

    gauge cluster problem

    I don't know the the ohms. I think that I might have figured it out. I can move the float and get the gauge to respond. Correctly or not, time will tell.

    The old cluster had a 2-terminal fuel gauge. The new one has a 3-terminal. How do I connect the wires? The terminals a marked B,T, and E, which, I assume is Battery, Tank, and Earth ? I tried to connect, in this order, and the gauge only pegs to "Full".

    Thanks for the info. I bought this tractor, with mower, for $1000. Originally it was going to be a parts tractor. I have my Dad's 1940 H that I'm going to restore and I was going to scavenge parts from this one, but this one's in too good of shape to strip.

    Will do. The problem is that the tractor is in Illinois and I'm living in Wyoming, so I've only got so much time to do stuff that needs doing when I'm in illinois. Hopefully I'll get this rig home this fall and then I can do everything that it needs.

    I rebuilt a ford 351 from my brother's truck and couldn't believe the amount of crud on top of the heads. I had to clean it off with a gasket scraper before the over haul.

    Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought of the fact that I should pull the pan and scrape it out. That stuff comes loose it'll probably plug the filter and cause some real probs.

    Removing front wheel spindles

    Polish what's exposed. Lubricate. Push back in. Repeat. Use a good penetrating oil. Keep repeating this and eventually you will have the entire spindle lubed to the point that it will extract. Clean it, lube it and reinstall. Also, make sure to remove grease zerks when the spindle is out and...
