    Ordered electronic ignition

I did it on my 50 8n when I converted to 12 volt. I didn’t use special plug wires. Mine has been going strong for at least 2 years now with zero issues. She just starts and runs every time.

    Disking a field

It has not been plowed. He just has it disced each year. He usually pays somebody come do it for him but I’m just trying to save him some money if it’s feasible to do it myself with the equipment I have.

    Disking a field

How much is it possible to disk in an 8 hour day with an 8N and a 6’ disk? Soil is sandy loam. Needs to be done so my wife’s great uncle can plant some oats. He has a seed drill but no disc. Just trying to see if I could help him out a little.

    Farmall B carb kit

Quite possible. I think I’m gonna order a kit based on the a/c part number and see what happens.

    Farmall B carb kit

After some more googling, I found that model number listed on the carb returns to an Allis-Chalmers part. Looks like the carbs got swapped sometime along the way.

    Farmall B carb kit

I need to find a carb rebuild kit for the zenith carb on my 46B. The disc on top of the carb has 213348 on the outer ring and 8707C on the inner ring. These numbers don’t match any model number for a rebuild kit listed on this site. The only other markings I could find are zenith made in USA...

    Great news!

    Sad News

I'm sad to see john's site go. It was/is an invaluable resource for me. I personally don't think n's are going away any time soon. I'm 31 and enjoy my time on my tractor. I also know of many still around that seem to be in use. I can count at least 5 or 6, maybe more, that I see all the...

Well, this doesn't look so good

Royse, that sherman is sure gonna make it hard to put everything back together. You might as well just send it to me, so you don't have to deal with that headache. HA Looks like you have a bit of a project there. Best of luck!

Lift doesn't go all the way down in position control

More than 3" for sure. It worked fine before the pump swap. I can tell a difference because my grader blade will not engage the ground. Sits about 2" off the ground now, where it didn't do that before.

Lift doesn't go all the way down in position control

It's more than 3" for sure. The thing is, the position control spring adjustment is independent of the pump, as you know. That shouldn't change just because the pump did. Has to be a bent control rod right? I guess I'm pulling the lift cover tomorrow.

Lift doesn't go all the way down in position control

1950 8n. The lift will not drop all the way down in position control. T It seems to work ok in draft control but is slow to lift. There is several more inches of down travel in draft vs position. It was working fine until I had to swap hydraulic pumps. The test port threads stripped on the old...

    Restore or Replace?

I was thinking I'd get the one in the link below. It's the new one listed on this site. http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Farmall-B_Distributor-New_107304C91.html

    Restore or Replace?

The '46 B I just got came with the magneto lying on the seat of the tractor. Previous owner stated that the couldn't get spark with the magneto and just stopped messing with it. It is the H4 magneto. I pulled it apart. Everything is pretty rusty. I got the armature out. The bearings have...
