    I got the yoke collar nut and it's backup nut free but the threaded disk with spanner wrench holes still won't budge. It's impossible to turn or move the rod or get the spring out. I'm going to go ahead and try to take the whole spring casing off.

    It's a G188D in a Case 310G which places it anywhere from '64 to '70 (can't read the SN plate yet)but I'm satisfied with CASE as the mfg. especially as "Case Manufacturing" is stamped on the engine SN plate.

    You might be able to tell something by draining the oil and taking the back plate off of the differential to look inside at the gears. Good time to check the brake shoe linings and adjusters too.
