    changing ring type hyd. lift piston to o-ring type in a 2N

    Thanks for the reply. As I understand the O ring goes on first and the backing gasket goes behind the o ring so when you put the piston into the cylinder the gasket is on top towards the push ram.

    Is the o-ring type better and if so where does the gasket for the o ring type go. In the bottom of the cylinder or by o-ring or where?

    Which direction does the seal (NCA1190A) get driven into the hub on my 2N? Does the rubber lip go against the spindle or against the bearing cone?
