Which direction does the seal (NCA1190A) get driven into the hub on my 2N? Does the rubber lip go against the spindle or against the bearing cone?

Since no one has answered this so far, this long, I think they go toward the spindle.

Now maybe someone will correct me ifn I am wrong.

I was just lookin at the tips earlier and I swore they said for sure the rubber to the spindle, metal to the bearing.

Rubber definitely goes to spindle. I just rebuilt my front end and remember taking the old ones out that way. Be sure to put some axle grease or the like on the rubber to you will hear it squeaking for a while. The back flange is actually the seal surfage for the axle seal.
